Cycle Orbital is an 890-mile network of recreational cycleways ringing the capital, ranging from child-friendly to challenging and arranged into twelve Arcs, Spokes and Spinoffs.

Occasionally, just occasionally when cycling around I encounter someone who is actively angry about the unicycle, penny farthing or (now) the tallbike.
I have no idea why but some old angry guy was shouting at me today. I ignored him and did not engage. Best not to, I think. 🤷

Remember - if your kids go to school, a school that provides free busing to everyone who lives more than a KM away, that's in a quiet neighborhood perfect for walking and cycling, and that's in one of the largest cities on the continent (a city that has a generally functional transit system), you have NO CHOICE but to drive them to school every day.

Cycling question: trying out saddles, in the UK
UK cycling people, is there somewhere you'd go to sit on different saddles to test if they're comfortable? Is that a thing?
I've worked out that my (default came-with-the-bike) saddle isn't the right shape for me: it's giving me an achy tailbone, as well as I think being a bit too narrow for optimal sit-bone comfort.
For context, I'm an "occasional cyclist for pleasure and/or practical reasons", shall we say. No ambition to be super fast.
Looking around online, I think I want something more like the Rido R2 or one of the Selle ones, shaped to have air under the tailbone area. Or maybe even a noseless one like the Spongy Wonder, though I don't like the look of how the metal frame sticks out at the front of those.
What's the chances a shop would have more than one of those and a willingness to get them out for a test sit? Or, better still, is there a loan scheme anywhere, so you can actually "test drive" them for a bit? Or do people usually just buy and be willing to sell again?
I'm in Nottingham, and I know there are bike shops I could get to, but I'm not seeing "come in and try all these saddles, we'll help you to find the right one" kinds of messaging.
Could also potentially travel elsewhere at some point if it turns out there's some kind of "best place in the country for that question".

Comcast IPv6 decided to bork itself again. Nothing I've tried (restarting DHCPv6 client, power cycling the modem) works.
My router gets a v6 address, can hit the internet without issues.
Router makes a DHCPv6 request, gets a delegated /59 out of my static /56.
But when I try to use an address out of the /59 on the local network (via radvd handing out /64's) it gets nowhere, traceroutes stop at the CPE/CMTS.

This morning’s bike ride was beautiful, but it got more difficult when the pedal came off.

My bike&hike yesterday 🙂
This is when I talk about mountainbiking: not fierce downhills - but uphills 😄 Including an evil ramp of 23% incline (regarding my cycling computer - and my legs) on gravel that I didn't expect.
(especially as I was carrying a backpack including camera and tele-lens)
Still working on the photos from the day before. Today is a rest-day for me.
My legs still feel a bit sore. My back is fine already

Now this was a nice loop around the #chiemsee! 😊
