Husband and I are still recovering from this stupid parainfluenza. The wee one tested negative and he's fit and full of beans. Sundays are usually playground days. Good to see there was still the culture of hiding Easter Eggs in the tech industry.

Today was a bit of a mixed bag.
We had tickets for a performance at the open air theatre in Chester. So off we went, had a nice lunch and then turned up at the park only to be told that it was so hot they'd had to cancel the performance.
The performances there are in the round and apparently they'd been reading up to 35° in the sun where the actors were supposed to be performing. In full costume.
So they've rebooked us for next week, here's hoping it's not quite so scorchio for that.

The Steam Frame arrived.
Not a great experience so far really.
The Wifi-dongle that brings 6G streaming doesn't currently work on Linux V6 kernels. Which is what Debian has.
Apparently Windows is the only thing fully supported really. Internet doesn't even sound that optimistic about the Steam Machine though it ought to at least work once I have one of them.
Streaming from the linux box is mostly unsuccessful during this lunch break here. Slow to start and timing out, slow to get going. Presumably partly coz only 5G wifi.
Controllers feel light and shoddy, aren't tracked particularly well. Pistol Whip scores well down due to the dropping frames and the terrible tracking of the aim.
Overall seems worse than the Vive at 30 minutes or so of playing with it.
Hope they improve it I guess, and streaming might work better once there's a machine with a V7 linux kernel compatible with this wifi dongle in the house.
Fairly comfortable to wear, though the foam attached by magnets comes off too easily as you don or remove the headset.
Sadly, this is not currently a machine which beats Facebook's Quest3 at all.
Have tried to install Alyx and Doom VR on it directly. Can't tell how that goes till after work now really.

Using assumptions on the pseudorandomness of the CFT spectrum and the heavy operator insertion, we observe that the Wigner negativity of the PET state relative to the microcanonical density matrix at the given energy is given by $\exp\left[\frac{1}{8G_N}(A_{\text{out}} - A_{\text{min}})\right]$, where $A_{\text{out}}$ is the area of the outer extremal surface, while $A_{\text{min}}$ is the area of the minimal extremal surface.
