Had some stuff to do in the city and am on a semi nocturnal sleep schedule this week so I decided to go to work stupidly early (leaving home at 4:30 in the morning to catch the first bus of the day) so I could get home before bedtime (i.e. lunchtime for most people in the local time zone).

Even though it doesn't gain a lot of elevation, the path along the shore of the lake is all I like:
narrow, pretty nature like, absolutely great views, bends along the shores so that you don't see too far, and mountains all around ... what else would you need 🙂

One of the great things about globalization is that countries start to get dependent on trading with each other, preventing conflicts and wars and normally leading to peaceful resolution of issues.
This is the biggest reason why most western countries had a relatively peaceful last 75 or so years (globalization obviously is not universally a good thing and has many problems of its own).
But the global turn to fascism and isolationism is starting to dismantle this system, making it worse for everyone.

Yesterday the Trump regime served warrants to a bunch of locals who were at that peaceful protest of the violent church where the regional ICE director preaches.
That protest is old news, the same event about which they’re trying to nail Don Lemon to the wall. Yesterday they came for both protestors and reporters, AIUI.
