The picture/motif itself is one of my personal favorites and was taken 4 years ago in the Alpstein massif, when clouds were spontaneously forming around us, creating a wonderful light/scene/drama and a dear memory... now also as print which likely will/can outlast myself

One that captures something that I think has been less visible in the national and international coverage is the second to last photo: the person in the bathrobe, standing outside in the cold, recording video. Presumably just heard the whistles and walked out the front door in a hurry.

The physical memory array is 32 x 32 bitcells (1 kbit / 128 bytes), logically 32 rows x 4-way column mux x 8 bit data bus.

Bought a new black computing rectangle (a.k.a. a laptop) yesterday as the current one doesn't have enough umph...also, I might've beat it down a bit too much. Oh #thicktrunkTuesday might be a good day for this photo that I took on a recent hike.
It's one of my usual hikes but clouds or fog always make it so special as the usual background is gone and I see the motives in a complete different way.
And believe it or not - I went this path over 10 times but I've never seen that tree the way like at that day.

#ThrowbackThursday Platinum printing session at the now defunkt Oregon College of Art and Craft. The pictures are from an unforgettable winter hike in the Eagle Creek valley, just a few days prior (and 6 months before a wild fire consumed the entire valley)...

A fully developed 13x18cm (5x7in) platinum print in a photo tray during final rinsing. The photo emulsion has been painted with a brush to produce a dark fuzzy border around the picture. The printed picture itself shows a wild canyon (Eagle Creek) with a narrow path leading along a steep, almost vertical snowy slope with foggy forest in the background.

Since we had temperatures of -15/-13℃ (5℉) the past few nights, I was planning to go on an early morning shoot of one of my favorite waterfalls, but decided against it due to severe black ice warnings and likely ensuing road chaos today... Hope there will be more cold nights this winter...

Closer to home here are the kind of 𝐻𝑒𝑙𝑖𝑜𝑝𝑠𝑖𝑠 flowers you find up and down the creek in Monkey Run; I think every natural area in Tompkins has its own characteristic 𝐻𝑒𝑙𝑖𝑜𝑝𝑠𝑖𝑠.

Since Massabesic Lake is the water supply for Manchester, NH it's one of very few lakes in Southern NH which isn't crammed with ticky-tacky houses; a trail leads from the road to a point where you're surrounded by water on three sides
