Adèle & Simon by Barbara McClintock (things to find), The Marvelous Now by Angela DiTerlizzi and Lorena Alvarez Gómez (rhyming & positive encouragement about mood regulation), and Forts by Katie Venit & Kenard Pak (lovely ode to children's forts).
I had a wonderful reverse-Magritte moment reading Adèle & Simon where Simon loses his drawing of a cat and my kid pointed out one of the actual cats in the image. I said "No, that's a cat, we're looking for a drawing of a cat," before realizing that technically we were looking for a drawing of a drawing of a cat, and the thing my kid pointed to was indeed a drawing of a cat, just not in that category relative to Simon's frame of reference...

I've rooted for BS tracking for so long because it was the best option out there, but the downsides it brings can be quite annoying sometimes. Plus, the Steam Frame is fully portable and BS tracking is not.

@pre@boing.worldVarnished the shelves. At least until I ran out of varnish anyway. Stained the first half of the bed. The stain takes ages to dry. Will have to flip and stain the other half tomorrow. Varnish on Tuesday if more has arrived. That dries much faster, might even get two coats on both sides during one day. Then I can have a bed on Wednesday?
At which point I will know the maximum height for a mattress. The bed is pretty low because to determine the height of the doors for storage at the end of the bed, I measured my old bed. Which was apparently lower than most, being a waterbed frame with a spring mattress in it.
So total bed height has to be under 50cm and a mattress can take 30 or more of that. But with this low bed I might even have room for a topper.
