I find the deluge of information overwhelming and things have only gotten worse with AI. Now I can produce mountains of crap using AI and then I have to sift it to see if there is anything worth saving.
I find myself always behind on working through all the information and projects I have...and if by some Herculean effort I manage to get current (this usually involves hitting the delete button repeatedly while telling myself "you'll never use that or need that again") I find myself building a mountain again with great haste!
Yes, I am fully aware I'm #neurodivergent and #adhd. Sigh.

We hoofed it up Mill Mountain before the heat ~really~ set in. The humidity did not wait, unfortunately, but we enjoyed it all the same.
We are now decamped in a coffee shop and pondering lunch options. I think we’re off to a bistro and bakery we’ve heard great things about. Their Better Than Sex cake is reputed to be true to its name.

On most platforms hashtags are not helpful. Facebook might be the worst that I've seen but I don't do Tik Tok and I'm told that is similar.
I went through a few "reels" and noted common hashtags.

Non of those anything of value for a user trying to navigate through the the mountain of trash.

I had to interact with some Amazon voice systems this morning. Obviously they used some automated translation to German and it failed. The voice recognition itself wasn't that impressive either. There is still a very long way to go if we want to reach the same quality levels with automated systems compared to well trained humans. And I personally am not so sure if this path leads to the mountain top or off a cliff.

The voice announcing the stops on this bus is the same voice that announces "PULL UP, PULL UP" on an airliner headed straight into a mountain.

It's incredible that the Alberta Premier continues to claim a pipeline to the Northwest (Prince Rupert) is possible. Premier Eby was not there because he was in the middle of a pre-planned trip to Asia (Japan, South Korea, Malaysia). And he said today there won't be any reconsideration of another oil pipeline, "decarbonzed" or not. And Japan has no interest in heavy oil anyway.
"But Eby continued to pour cold water on other premiers' talk of building another oil pipeline across B.C. to the coast, saying there is already the taxpayer-owned Trans Mountain Pipeline, which is not being used to full capacity.
He added that the Japanese don't want heavy oil and thermal coal. And he has not altered his stance against lifting the heavy oil tanker ban on B.C.'s North Coast.”
